Two cars set on fire over dispute at Podanur

The recent unforseen incident at Shivalaya nagar, Thudiyalur where some unknown miscreants set fire on two bikes has caused turmoil amongst the public. As most of the people park their vehicles outside their residence, such strange incidents creates restlessness amongst the people.

A similar incident is reported at Podanur but this time it's a four-wheeler that was set on fire by some strangers at Pilaiyarpuram to Nagarajapuram location.

Yesterday, Krishnan (49) a resident of Pilaiyarpuram had parked two of his cars outside his residence. At around 3 am, the intense fumes of smoke that spread all over his house woke him up.

He was startled to see both his cars burning intensely. He reached out his neighbours to put the fire off, as the fire couldn't be controlled they  informed the fire service department.



The fire Service team rushed to the scene and contained the fire from spreading to nearby houses.

The Podanur Police have filed a case.

Initial investigation reports indicate that the tussle between the owner and the stranger on some financial dealings has been speculated to be the motive behind the incident.
