With the advent of local body elections, a meeting was convened at the Coimbatore Collectorate today.
K.Rajasekaran, Tamilnadu Election Commissioner convened a meeting today at the Collectorate to discuss in detail about the upcoming local body elections scheduled during the month of October.
District Collectors from Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Erode along with Corporation & Municipal Commissioners participated in the meeting.
The officers discussed in detail about setting up of poll booths and safety measures to be incorporated during the local body elections. The Election Commissioner stated that similar meetings will be devised at other districts shortly.
