Ward Councillor Inspects Sanitation Works in Peelamedu Ward 27

Ward Councillor Ambika Danabal conducted multiple inspections in Ward 27 Peelamedu area of Singanallur constituency, overseeing roadside garbage clearance, drainage cleaning, sewage blockage repair works, and daily waste collection services to ensure proper sanitation maintenance.


Coimbatore: Ward Councillor Ambika Danabal of Ward 27 Peelamedu in the Singanallur Assembly constituency conducted a series of inspections today to monitor various sanitation and cleanliness initiatives across different locations in her ward under the Coimbatore Corporation North Zone.



The councillor personally visited Periyar Street in Peelamedu where sanitation workers were engaged in clearing roadside garbage. During her inspection, Ambika Danabal directed the sanitation staff to ensure daily cleaning of all roadside waste to maintain proper hygiene standards in the area.






In another inspection at Kanakkupillai Street in the same ward, the councillor monitored the cleaning of sewage silt that had accumulated along the roadside. She instructed the sanitation personnel to carry out thorough and complete removal of the sewage silt to prevent any health hazards or inconvenience to residents.






The ward councillor also visited Bharathi Colony Fifth Street where repair work was underway to clear a sewage blockage using an air compressor lorry. Ambika Danabal supervised the operation and emphasized the need for complete resolution of the blockage issue to ensure proper functioning of the drainage system.






Additionally, the councillor conducted an inspection near Sai Baba Temple to verify whether the daily garbage collection auto was operating according to schedule. During this visit, she interacted with residents and urged them to segregate waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories before handing it over to collection staff. Ward Supervisor Eeswari accompanied the councillor during this inspection.


These comprehensive inspections demonstrate the proactive approach of the ward administration in maintaining cleanliness and addressing sanitation concerns promptly. The councillor's regular monitoring ensures that civic amenities function efficiently and public health standards are maintained in Ward 27 Peelamedu area of Singanallur constituency.
