Reports reveal that Marudhachalam had attempted suicide by intaking excessive dosage of sleeping pills as he was denied transfer to Tuticorin. The denial of his transfer request put him in immense mental stress making him take a mindless decision, reports say. He is currently in a very critical state and undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital.
