Coimbatore Corporation Hosts Special Welfare Camp for Sanitation Workers

Coimbatore Corporation organized a special government services camp for sanitation workers at RS Puram Municipal Auditorium. Mayor Ka Ranganayaki Ramachandran inaugurated the event where 12 departments participated, benefiting 3963 workers. Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance cards were distributed to attendees.


Coimbatore: A special government services camp for sanitation workers was organized at the RS Puram Municipal Auditorium in Coimbatore Corporation's West Zone. Mayor Ka Ranganayaki Ramachandran inaugurated and inspected the camp, which was presided over by Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS.



The special camp, which began at 10 am today, saw participation from officials of 12 departments including Revenue Department, Skill Development Training Institute, School Education Department, Medical Department, TANGEDCO, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, among others.

The participating departmental officials explained various schemes implemented by their respective departments to the sanitation workers and created awareness among them. Assistance was provided to help them avail welfare scheme benefits. Additionally, awareness was created regarding ESI and PF matters.

A total of 3963 personnel from all zones participated in this special camp and benefited from it. Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance cards were distributed to the participating workers.

The camp was attended by Zone Chairpersons Ilakkumi Ilanjelvi Karthik (East), V Kathirvel (North), KA Deivayanai Tamilmarai (West), Health Committee Chairperson P Mariselvan, Corporation Welfare Officer Dr Subash Gandhi, Zonal Health Officers Radhakrishnan, Andiyappan, Gunasekaran, Rajendran, Assistant Engineer Manjula Devi, Health Inspectors Loganathan, Vijayakumar, Saravanakumar, and several other Corporation officials.
