SSVM Institutions Announces Winners of Studentpreneur Awards 2024

SSVM Institutions hosted the Studentpreneur Awards 2024 in Coimbatore on September 2, 2024. The event, themed "Resilient Today, Sustainable Tomorrow," saw over 250 participants from across India competing for top prizes.



Coimbatore: SSVM Institutions announced the winners of the Studentpreneur Awards 2024 at the third edition of the Transforming India Conclave held at SSVM World School on September 2, 2024.



The awards, designed to promote entrepreneurship among school students, recognized innovative solutions with significant social impact.



The event was inaugurated by Timothy Pinnow, Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives & COO of ALMA College.



Over 250 participants from schools across India, including states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Assam, competed in the awards.



The top 10 teams advanced to the main event, where the top three winners were awarded cash prizes.



The first prize of ₹1 lakh was awarded to Jayam Mangalam Modi, Arnav Agarwal, and Gatik Chhawachharia from Chinmaya Residential School.



R. Mithra from Narayana E-Techno, Chennai, secured the second prize of ₹75,000, while Dhaya Vishnu Kumaran M from Sri Ramana Academy Sr. Secondary School, Rajapalayam, won the third prize of ₹50,000.

Timothy Pinnow addressed the students on the topic ‘Futureproofing Today: Bold Strategies for Lasting Impact’ said, "Futureproofing requires bold strategies that transcend immediate challenges and focus on building resilient systems. It’s about ensuring that the decisions we make today not only withstand the test of time but also set the stage for lasting impact. By fostering innovation, adaptability, and ethical leadership, we equip institutions and individuals to thrive in an ever-changing landscape."

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manimekalai Mohan - Founder & Managing Trustee, SSVM Group of Institutions, said, "Protecting our planet is not just a responsibility but a necessity. We must understand the destruction caused by climate change and take bold, decisive action. Embracing the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling is essential for fostering a sustainable future. As educators and global citizens, we must commit to environmental responsibility, educate ourselves and others about climate change, and advocate tirelessly for sustainability. Our collective future depends on the steps we take today."

Arun Krishnamurthy, Indian Activist & Founder - Environmentalist Foundation of India addressed the students on the topic ‘Reviving Earth: Turning Challenges into Sustainable Solutions’ said, “Reviving Earth is not just about addressing environmental degradation; it is about transforming challenges into sustainable solutions that inspire collective action. Every drop of water saved, every tree planted, and every conscious choice made is a step towards securing the future of our planet. Sustainability isn't a far-off goal; it begins with each of us today, in our local communities, making mindful, impactful decisions that ripple across the globe."

Kaveri Lalchand, Founder - Kaveri addressed the students on the topic ‘Threading Traditions: Weaving Sustainability into Fashion's Future’ said, "Fashion is more than a statement—it's a reflection of our values. At Kaveri, we’re threading traditions with sustainability, honoring the craftsmanship of the past while innovating for the future. Linen, in its timeless beauty, teaches us to cherish what is natural and lasting. By weaving eco-conscious practices into every stitch, we envision a fashion industry that celebrates sustainability, without compromising on elegance and style."

Srikanth Bolla, Indian Industrialist, Founder & Chairman - Bollant Industries addressed the students on the topic ‘Vision Beyond Sight: Crafting Success in an Unseen World’ said, "Vision is not confined to what we see, but rather to the dreams we dare to pursue. In an unseen world, success is crafted by resilience, determination, and the courage to believe beyond sight. Every challenge becomes a steppingstone when driven by purpose.
