Construction and Unorganized Workers' Union Federation Celebrates 3rd Anniversary in Udumalpet

The Construction and Unorganized Workers' Union Federation held its 3rd-anniversary celebration near Udumalpet, Tiruppur district. New office bearers were elected during the event chaired by President Sivasamy.



Coimbatore: The Construction and Unorganized Workers' Union Federation celebrated its third anniversary near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district. The event, held at Senjeri Puthur, was presided over by the federation's president, Sivasamy. District Secretary Gunasekaran and District Treasurer Sukumar were also present at the gathering.

During the meeting, new office bearers were elected for the union. Sivasamy was re-elected as the President, while Murugan and Ponnusamy were chosen as Vice Presidents. Sukumaran was elected as the Secretary, with Chennimalai Rajendran and Natarajan as Joint Secretaries. Gunasekaran was appointed as the Treasurer.



The executive committee members elected include Vijayalakshmi, Saroja, Vaidegi, Balasundari, and Thirumoorthi. The assembly also passed several resolutions, including addressing various irregularities in the unorganized sector and expressing deep condolences for those who lost their lives in the recent Wayanad landslide in Kerala.

Additionally, the federation paid tribute to the workers from the construction and unorganized sectors who had passed away. The meeting concluded with the adoption of various other resolutions aimed at improving the welfare of the workers in these sectors.
