Coimbatore: A 45-year-old contractor from Pollachi died by suicide after posting a video blaming three individuals who allegedly failed to repay their debts to him. The incident has caused a stir in the local community.

The deceased, identified as Sakthikumar, was a resident of Gengampalayam near Pollachi. He was married and had a son and a daughter. According to sources, Sakthikumar had lent money to three individuals: Rs 2.50 lakh to Ganesamoorthy from Samathur, Rs 1.80 lakh to Sadik Basha from Karuppampalayam, and Rs 8 lakh to Senthilnathan from Aval Chinnampalayam.

When Sakthikumar asked for the repayment of these loans, all three individuals reportedly refused to return the money. Distressed by this situation, Sakthikumar recorded a video on his mobile phone stating that these three debtors were responsible for his death. He then sent the video to his relatives via WhatsApp.

Following this, Sakthikumar went to his father-in-law's house on Ramar Kovil Street in Jameen Kottanpatti and died by suicide. The police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the incident. The tragic event has highlighted the severe consequences of financial disputes and the importance of responsible lending and borrowing practices in the community.
