DMK Pays Tribute to Karunanidhi on His 6th Death Anniversary in Mettupalayam

DMK members in Mettupalayam commemorated former Chief Minister Karunanidhi's 6th death anniversary near the bus stand on August 7. Party officials and ex-MLAs paid floral tributes to his portrait in a solemn ceremony.


Coimbatore: The Mettupalayam unit of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) observed the 6th death anniversary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on August 7. The event, led by city secretaries Mohammed Yunus and Munusamy, took place near the bus stand in Mettupalayam.



Party members gathered to pay their respects to the late leader. A decorated portrait of Karunanidhi was placed at the venue, and attendees offered floral tributes as a mark of respect and remembrance.

The ceremony saw the participation of several prominent DMK functionaries, including former MLAs P. Arunkumar and C.R. Ramachandran. Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and the continued reverence for Karunanidhi within the party ranks.

This annual commemoration serves as a reminder of Karunanidhi's lasting impact on Tamil Nadu's political landscape and his contributions to the DMK party.
