Coimbatore: Students of Ganga Nursing College in Vattamalaipalayam, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Ganga Hospital, conducted awareness programs to mark National Bone and Joint Day. The events included road safety initiatives and first aid training for police officers.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Rajasekaran, Managing Director of Ganga Hospital, in the presence of Dr. Dhanasekara Raja, Senior Consultant - Orthoplasty at Ganga Hospital, and Dr. Esther John, Principal of Ganga Nursing College.

As part of the awareness campaign, an online quiz and speech competition on road safety was conducted for school students across Coimbatore district. Winners were awarded cash prizes and incentives.

The nursing students actively participated in managing traffic congestion near the NGGO Colony railway gate, assisting the public effectively.

They also demonstrated CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques to police officers at Thudiyalur and Saibaba police stations, providing hands-on training to the law enforcement personnel.
