Power Outage Announced for Ukkadam Area Tomorrow

Electricity Board announces power cut in Ukkadam and surrounding areas on August 3 from 9 AM to 4 PM due to monthly maintenance work at Ukkadam substation.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage for several areas in Coimbatore on Thursday, August 3. The power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 4 PM due to monthly maintenance work at the Ukkadam substation.

The affected areas include Variety Hall Road, Town Hall, Oppanakara Street area, T.K. Market area, Selvapuram, Kempatti Colony area, Karumbukadai, Athupalam area, Ukkadam area, Ramanathapuram, Sungam, Race Course, and Collectorate.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the seven-hour power interruption. The TNEB has stated that the maintenance work is essential to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power supply network in the region.

The power outage is expected to impact both residential and commercial establishments in the heart of Coimbatore city. Important landmarks such as the Collectorate and the bustling T.K. Market will also be affected by this temporary disruption in electricity supply.

TNEB officials have assured that power will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed. They have requested the public's cooperation and understanding during this planned outage, emphasizing that regular maintenance is crucial for the long-term stability of the power infrastructure in the city.
