Coimbatore: The Water Resources Department has released the water level status of major dams in Coimbatore district, including Aliyar, Parambikkulam, and Sholaiyar, as of July 25. The Aliyar dam, located near Anaimalai, has a total storage capacity of 120 feet. As of today, the water level stands at 55.5 feet, receiving inflow from its catchment areas. The dam is currently receiving an inflow of 239 cubic feet per second, while 250 cubic feet per second is being discharged. Water Resources Department officials stated that the inflow has been gradually decreasing due to reduced rainfall in the catchment areas.
The Parambikkulam dam, situated near Pollachi, has a total storage capacity of 72 feet. The current water level has reached 22.37 feet as of today. The dam is receiving an inflow of 1,098 cubic feet per second, with 40 cubic feet per second being discharged. Farmers are pleased as the water level continues to rise steadily due to the southwest monsoon, officials reported.

The dam is receiving an inflow of 276 cubic feet per second, while 1,384 cubic feet per second is being discharged.
