Coimbatore: Two men were arrested for assaulting an 18-year-old youth with a cricket bat near Neelikonampalayam in Coimbatore. The incident, which occurred on July 26, was the result of a dispute that began three months ago.

The victim, Karthikeyan (18), son of Sundaraj from Mahalakshmi Nagar in Neelikonampalayam, works as a mechanic at a two-wheeler workshop on Sarojini Road. Three months ago, Karthikeyan had a disagreement with Sibu (30). Karthikeyan informed his friend Sridhar about Sibu's threats, leading Sridhar to confront Sibu.
