Coimbatore: The Forest Department organized a free medical camp for its staff at the Udumalpet Forest Range Office in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, Tiruppur district. The camp was held under the guidance of Field Director Ramasubramanian and in the presence of Deputy Director Devendra Kumar Meena.

The medical camp provided comprehensive health check-ups for forest department employees, including tests for hypertension, diabetes, and eye and dental examinations. More than five specialist doctors, including general physicians, ophthalmologists, and dentists, participated in the camp to offer their expertise.

Udumalpet Forest Range Officer Manikandan, along with numerous forest staff and guards from the Udumalpet and Tiruppur forest divisions, attended the free medical camp. The initiative aimed to ensure the well-being of forest department employees who often work in challenging conditions to protect wildlife and forests.

This medical camp is part of the Forest Department's efforts to prioritize the health of its workforce, recognizing the importance of regular health check-ups for those working in remote and sometimes hazardous environments. The department plans to organize similar camps periodically to maintain the health and fitness of its staff.
