Devotees Throng Vanabadrakaliamman Temple for Aadi First Friday in Mettupalayam

Thousands of devotees from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, and Erode districts gathered at Thekkampatti Vanabadrakaliamman Temple in Mettupalayam to offer prayers on the auspicious first Friday of Aadi month.



Coimbatore: The Thekkampatti Vanabadrakaliamman Temple in Mettupalayam, one of the renowned temples in Coimbatore district, witnessed a massive influx of devotees on July 19, marking the first Friday of the Tamil month of Aadi.

Thousands of devotees from various districts including Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, and Erode flocked to the temple from early morning. Long queues formed as faithful waited patiently to offer their prayers and receive blessings from the goddess Vanabadrakaliamman.

The first Friday of Aadi holds special significance in Tamil culture, particularly for devotees of Amman (goddess) temples. This auspicious day is believed to be highly favorable for worshipping the divine mother and seeking her blessings.
