Judicial Custody of YouTuber Savukku Shankar Extended

YouTuber Savukku Shankar's judicial custody has been extended until May 28 by a Coimbatore court, following his treatment for a fracture at Coimbatore Government Hospital.

Coimbatore: Savukku Shankar, a prominent YouTuber, was arrested in Theni by the Coimbatore City Cyber Crime Police on the 4th and has been held in Coimbatore Central Jail. He was charged under five sections.

Following his arrest, Savukku Shankar sustained a bone fracture, necessitating medical treatment and casting at the Coimbatore Government Hospital. The police then filed a petition for his custody for further questioning. The 4th Criminal Judge of Coimbatore, Saravanababu, granted a one-day police custody.

On completion of this custody period on May 14, the police presented Savukku Shankar in court again. Subsequently, the judge decided to extend his judicial custody until May 28.
