Coimbatore Residents Rejoice as Unexpected Rainfall Cools Down Summer Heat

Coimbatore witnessed unexpected rainfall in various areas on May 9, bringing relief from the intense summer heat, delighting the residents.


Coimbatore: After enduring several scorching days, residents of Coimbatore were pleasantly surprised by the onset of summer rains. The Meteorological Center had predicted chances of rain today, and by 4:00 PM, the skies were cloudy, soon followed by moderate rain in certain parts of the city. Areas including Peelamedu, Masakalipalayam, and Pothanur experienced light showers.



Continuing the trend, Singanallur, Gandhipuram 100 Feet Road, Ukkadam, Kuniamuthur, Gandhipuram, and Town Hall saw moderate rainfall, which significantly cooled down the urban areas. The sudden showers not only brought down the temperatures but also brought a refreshing change to the weather across the city, much to the delight of the citizens. The unexpected rain has been a welcome respite from the recent heatwave, leaving the residents with a sense of joy and relief.
