Cooling Paint Applied at Perur Patteeswarar Temple, Devotees Delighted

Devotees find relief as cooling paint is applied to the precincts of Perur Patteeswarar Temple, reducing the heat effects from black stone floors enabling a comfortable visit.

Coimbatore: The sacred Perur Patteeswarar Temple, a revered site attracting both local and outstation devotees, has recently experienced significant improvements to its infrastructure. Known for its black stone construction, the temple precincts could be uncomfortably hot, especially during sunny days, making it challenging for the devotees to walk around the complex. Many avoided encircling the inner sanctum due to the intense heat which even caused discomfort to their feet.

In a significant relief, a private sponsor has lately facilitated the application of a special cooling paint on the floor surrounding the temple's sanctum. This paint, visible in a soothing shade of blue, effectively reduces the surface temperature, enabling devotees to walk comfortably without the earlier inconvenience of heat affecting their feet. Devotees now freely circumambulate the sanctum, engaging deeply in their spiritual practices without any physical discomfort. Temple staff confirmed the successful application and positive outcome of this initiative on April 26, highlighting the enhanced visitor experience.
