DMK Organizes Free Food Distribution at Karamadai Aranganathar Temple Festival

DMK volunteers led by city secretary Venkatesh, distributed free meals to approximately 5000 devotees at the Karamadai Aranganathar Temple chariot festival in Coimbatore on February 25.

Coimbatore: The Karamadai Aranganathar Temple's annual chariot festival, a highly anticipated event, has been attracting thousands of devotees from Coimbatore and surrounding areas. In a display of community service and devotion, the DMK party's city unit, under the leadership of city secretary Venkatesh, hosted a large-scale free food distribution on February 25, benefitting around 5000 attendees.

The initiative was inaugurated by DMK's Central Executive Committee member T.R. Shanmugasundaram and Union Secretary Kalyanasundaram, marking a significant contribution towards fostering community spirit and religious observance. The event saw a massive turnout of DMK party administrators and volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of the annadhanam (free food distribution), aligning with the spirit of giving and charity that is often associated with religious festivals.

This gesture of goodwill was particularly poignant, offering solace and sustenance to the throngs of devotees who had gathered from various parts of the region to witness the grand chariot procession and participate in the temple's festivities. The DMK's involvement in such community activities underscores their commitment to social welfare and cultural preservation, reinforcing the bond between the party and the people.
