Coimbatore: Today, members of the Vellalar Progressive Federation organized a protest in front of the Tiruppur District Collector's office against DMK's Deputy General Secretary and Member of Parliament A. Raja for his alleged defamatory remarks about the revered freedom fighter V.O. Chidambaram Pillai. The protesters demanded that Raja publicly apologize for his comments made during a recent public meeting, which they claim disrespected the legacy of the freedom fighter.
