Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Inaugurates INR 780 Crore Water Project in Coimbatore; Criticizes Central Government's Fiscal Disparity

At an event in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated a INR 780 crore drinking water project and addressed the significant fiscal contributions made by Tamil Nadu to the Union Government, highlighting the stark contrast in financial returns.


Coimbatore: Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, during an event in Coimbatore, emphasized Tamil Nadu's substantial fiscal contributions to the Union Government, revealing a contribution of INR 6 lakh crores over five years, with only INR 1.58 lakh crores returned. The next two months are deemed crucial for rectifying past minor errors and ensuring the successful delivery of government projects to the populace.



Furthermore, Minister Stalin inaugurated a INR 780 crore water development project in Saravanampatti, aimed at enhancing Coimbatore's drinking water supply. The event was attended by notable figures including Ministers K.N. Nehru, Muthusamy, and MP A. Raja, underlining the state's commitment to improving public utilities and showcasing Tamil Nadu's development as a model for other states. Minister Stalin also highlighted the use of products made by women's self-help groups at his home and the Chief Minister's residence, illustrating support for local enterprises.
