Coimbatore Trains Receive Additional Coaches for Pongal Festival Rush

Southern Railway has announced the augmentation of additional coaches to trains from Coimbatore to accommodate the surge in passengers during the Pongal festival.


Coimbatore: As the festive season of Pongal approaches, the Southern Railway has decided to attach additional coaches to various trains running through Coimbatore to handle the increased passenger traffic. The Coimbatore – Nagercoil Express, Coimbatore – Chennai Central Shatabdi, and other key trains will see the addition of sleeper and AC chair car coaches.





This initiative is part of the efforts to ensure hassle-free travel for residents and visitors to Coimbatore during this busy period. The augmentation will occur on specific dates in January, providing relief to travelers and aiding in festive preparations.
