Singanallur MLA Jayaraman inaugurates a free eye and dental check-up camp for school students at Suguna Vidhya Nikethan in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, organized by Trinity Eye Hospitals & Apollo Dental Hospitals.

Coimbatore: In a significant community health initiative, a free eye and dental check-up camp for school students was inaugurated today at Suguna Vidhya Nikethan in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. The camp is a collaborative effort by Trinity Eye Hospitals and Apollo Dental Hospitals, aimed at providing essential health services to students. The event was inaugurated by the Singanallur Constituency MLA Jayaraman, marking a step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility for children in the region. Also present were Peelamedu area party secretary Mr. K. Ulaganathan, zone party secretaries Manoharan, Laxmanan, former councillor Salt Velliyangiri, and other party officials.

The camp is part of a broader effort to address health issues at an early age, ensuring timely interventions and promoting overall well-being among the younger population. The initiative reflects a growing awareness of the importance of early health check-ups in school-going children, focusing on eye and dental health, which are crucial for their overall development and learning.

In addition to check-ups, the camp also offers educational sessions on maintaining eye and dental health, highlighting preventive measures and healthy habits. This proactive approach towards health education is expected to have a long-term positive impact on students' health and well-being.

The organizers emphasized the importance of such camps in underprivileged areas, where access to quality healthcare is often limited. By bringing these services to the school, they ensure that no student misses out on the opportunity for a health check-up due to financial constraints.

The event saw a large turnout, with students actively participating and gaining valuable insights into their health. The success of the camp has prompted plans for similar initiatives in other schools across Coimbatore, aiming to reach more students and contribute to a healthier community.

The camp concluded with a message of gratitude from the school authorities and the participating students, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers in making healthcare accessible and informative.
