265th Birth Anniversary of Veerapandiya Kattabomman Celebrated in Coimbatore

DMK members in Coimbatore commemorate the 265th birth anniversary of the legendary Veerapandiya Kattabomman on January 3rd at his statue in Echanari.


Coimbatore: Marking the 265th birth anniversary on January 3rd of the revered freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman, a special ceremony was held today in Echanari, Coimbatore. The statue of Veerapandiya Kattabomman was adorned with garlands in a tribute led by Thalapathi Murugeshan, the South District Secretary of DMK.

Members of the DMK participated in the event, paying their respects to the iconic figure known for his resistance against the British in the 18th century. The ceremony was a solemn reminder of the bravery and legacy of Kattabomman, inspiring many in the region.
