'DMK is a scientifically corrupt party:' Vanathi Srinivasan in Coimbatore

Criticising the DMK as a "scientifically corrupt party," the BJP Women's Wing National President, Vanathi Srinivasan said the DMK should not be blaming the impeccable Prime Minister and must not criticise the integrity of the Prime Minister.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan slammed the DMK as a "scientifically corrupt party" at a function held at the Fishermen Community Hall in Coimbatore Town Hall to distribute a personal health insurance card worth Rs. 5 lakh on behalf of Ayushman Bharat.

BJP National Women's Wing President, Vanathi Srinivasan participated in the event and inspected the online registration process for issuing welfare cards.

Later speaking to reporters, she said, "Under this scheme, every family is being provided with a health insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh. We have started the camp today in collaboration with the Health Department officials to help people benefit from this scheme. These camps are planned to be held in every part of the Coimbatore South constituency. The State Government should seriously focus on making the Health Insurance Card available to all under this scheme."

"The BJP State President Annamalai's 'En Mann, En Makkal' journey will be completed in the first phase and will arrive in the western region in the next phase. The yatra will be held in every assembly constituency in Coimbatore. This journey of Annamalai has created a huge upsurge. The BJP's activity has increased manifold after the yatra took place in every district. This visit will give a boost and rejuvenation to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections," she further added.

In Coimbatore Corporation areas, the Councillors are threatening for bribes to collect garbage, construct borewells and are also collecting money separately for the construction of houses. "We have decided to start a helpline in Coimbatore Corporation areas to help those who ask for bribes. The contact number for the same will be announced in two days,' emphasised the BJP National Women's Wing President.

Vanathi Srinivasan also reiterated that it was their choice where a party and a leader should contest elections. "The party leadership will announce where the Prime Minister is contesting. Other than greeting the newly-wed couple at wedding ceremonies, the CM does all the work. The DMK is a scientifically corrupt party and they should not be blaming the impeccable Prime Minister or criticise his integrity," she opined.

"Only 4 out of 100 people get the rights and benefits due to women when actually all women should be given the rights. If that is announced, I will sit in the booths and get the rights of all the women," she added.

replying to a query on who will ally with the BJP for the elections, Vanathi Srinivasan said, "Who is in the BJP alliance will be known only in December. Look at how many new friends you make. No one knows about the decision beyond the AIADMK General Secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami. There is no contradiction in the AIADMK-BJP alliance and it is enough if the media does not get confused. The party leadership will decide how many seats will be there in the Lok Sabha elections."

Vanathi Srinivasan also expressed shock over students taking up violence. "Based on caste, poison is being sown in the hearts of children. Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin is instigating people to fight on the NEET issue. Instead of helping students to prepare for NEET, the DMK Government and Ministers are instigating suicides. Even though the AIADMK was opposed to NEET, they trained the students, but during the DMK rule, they have taken action against the teachers who are training NEET," alleged Vanathi Srinivasan.
