In Coimbatore district, a special deworming camp is being conducted at all places today. For the missing children, the medicine will be given on The 24th. Deworming pills (albendazole) is given to children between the ages of 1 and 19, and women between the ages of 20 and 30.
On behalf of the Coimbatore district health department, deworming tablets are being supplied to the students of government, corporation and private schools in Coimbatore district after breakfast and lunch.
According to coimbatore district health service officials, 985 private, 1,070 government and government-aided schools, 1,697 anganwadi centres, 150 colleges, 89 primary health centres and 328 health sub-centres have been provided tablets in the first phase.
The missing children will be given on The 24th. In the district, a target of 12.65 lakh children and women has been set to provide tablets.
