CCMC study centre will be established with the best amenities enabling access for students of various categories for the preparation of competitive exams including civil services, state public service and others.


Coimbatore: Shiv Das Meena, the Chief Secretary of the state had directed all Municipal corporations across the state to adopt Coimbatore Corporation's Model of Knowledge and Study Centre for its well-equipped design.

According to sources, it was informed that the CCMC study centre will be established with the best amenities enabling access for students of various categories for the preparation of competitive exams including civil services, state public service and others. As many as 10,000 books are to be provided with a seating capacity of 80, 40 seats are set up for the training centre, a feeding room, an e-governance room and a section for reading magazines and newspapers.

This study centre is built in a space of 7,800 sq. ft at Aadis Street at a cost of Rs.2.5 crores allotted by the City Corporation during the previous budget. It was also informed that the centre is being constructed in an identified vacant space which is nearing completion and soon will be open to public.
