2000 Underprivileged people in Coimbatore enjoy free circus show

In order to give the excitement of the circus to the underprivileged people, kids in orphanages and differently abled people in Coimbatore various NGOs including SKAL Club Coimbatore, Namma Kovai, Tamil Nadu Catering Owners Association, Helping Hearts and Uthiram Foundation joined hands with Great Bombay Circus to hold a special free-show on Friday morning.


Coimbatore: The Great Bombay Circus shows are going on live in the city since June 24 at VOC Grounds, entertaining hundreds of viewers with exciting acts every day.



In order to give the excitement of the circus to the underprivileged people, kids in orphanages and differently abled people in Coimbatore various NGOs including SKAL Club Coimbatore, Namma Kovai, Tamil Nadu Catering Owners Association, Helping Hearts and Uthiram Foundation joined hands with Great Bombay Circus to hold a special free-show on Friday morning.



The show was enjoyed by 2000 such people, who shared that they were very much excited to watch the comic and acrobatic acts. Children and the elderly said they loved the acts made by dogs and clowns, and all praised the trapeze act.



"This is a one-day event organized with the support of nearly 15 NGOs in the city. We provided free breakfast, refreshments and lunch to the 2000 people who watched these shows today to give them a joyful day," said one of the organizers of this exclusive show, Charles Fabian, Founder-President of SKAL Club Coimbatore.



Student-volunteers from Government Arts College, Sri Krishna Institutions, Avinashilingam Institute and PSG Institutions provided the needed volunteer-support at the event.



According to SKAL Club, even blood donors, social workers, NGOs and homeless people also enjoyed this exclusive show today. Catering Owners Association provided honor lunch for the circus people and free lunch for all.
