Improve basic amenities in the bus stand - Udumalai public request

There is a demand to improve the basic amenities including passenger seating and drinking water tank at the bus stand at Udumalpet in Tirupur district.

Tirupur: A large number of buses are plying daily from Udumalai Central Bus Stand in Tirupur district to the surrounding villages. Apart from this, out-of-district buses also come and go to Udumalai bus stand.

In an environment where the movement of passengers is high on a daily basis, the basic infrastructure facilities for passengers remain undeveloped. Due to this, the passengers are suffering a lot.

The passengers said:

The Udumalai Central Bus Stand is a place where the people from the surrounding villages of Udumalpet get separated from the people from outside the district. The basic necessities of the passengers waiting for the bus here are not being met.

Since the seats are damaged and not damaged, they have to wait for hours. Or there is a situation where you have to sit on the floor. Since there is no drinking water facility, they buy water for a price and drink it.

One of the main basic essential needs, the sanitary complex facility is not provided. Due to this, women, children and pregnant women are unable to cope with the natural calamities. This has created a situation where their health is affected. The sanitary complex built for men stinks without maintenance.

Udumalai Central Bus Stand is an area that brings together the public of the surrounding villages. There is an environment where even the slightest deficiency here can be reflected in all the villages. Therefore, basic infrastructure such as seats, drinking water, sanitary complex facilities should be upgraded at Udumalai Central Bus Stand.

Thus, they reported.
