Vishwajana Munnetra Kazhagam desecrates paintings on flyover walls smearing them with black ink

Vishwajana Munnetra Kazhagam (VPP) has destroyed the paintings painted on the pillars of gandhipuram flyover claiming that the paintings were painted in a derogatory manner and misrepresenting the goldsmiths as if goldsmiths were responsible for Kovalan's death and theft.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, Vishwajana munnetra kazhagam (VPP) workers poured black ink on the paintings painted on the pillars of Gandhipuram flyover and destroyed them.

Coimbatore Corporation has entered into an agreement with a private company to prevent the pasting of posters on the Gandhipuram flyover and are painting the stories of five great epics such as Silappathikaram, Seevaka Chintamani, Kundalakesi, Manimekalai and Valayapathi on the pillars of the flyover.



In a shocking incident, the Vishwajana Munnetra Kazhagam (VPP) has destroyed the paintings painted on the pillars of gandhipuram flyover by pouring black ink on the pillars of the Gandhipuram flyover, claiming that the paintings were painted in a derogatory manner and misrepresenting the goldsmiths as if goldsmiths were responsible for kovalan's death and theft.



They have also posted videos and photographs of the paintings pouring ink and posting them on social media.

Public have demanded that appropriate action should be taken against the miscreants who destroyed the painstakingly painted painting with the help of the painters in a matter of seconds.
