Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science declared centre of Academic Excellence

Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, has been awarded as DELL EMC centre of Academic Excellence in Data Science and Big Data Analytics. A highly placed source from this college stated that this college is the first in kind among the arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu to receive this award in this category. This recognition has come from ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu.



Dell technologies is one of the largest IT company having a turnover of $74 billion providing technology solutions and services for converged infrastructure development, cloud-native solutions, bigdata and analytics, storage, software applications and so on.



Dell technologies who have recently acquired EMC corporation are setting up Centre of Excellence in Data Science and Big Data Analytics exclusively at 5 Educational Institutions in Tamil Nadu among 50 Educational Institutions in India.

Centre of Academic Excellence was inaugurated by Abhijit Sreenivas, Head - Industry Interface, External Research & Academic Alliances - India ANZ & Sri Lanka and Mr. G.Saravanan, Assistant General Manager - Academic Initiatives. Centre of Academic Excellence of DELL EMC was  declared and certificate was handed over to Swami Garishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, in the presence of Dr C  Jayabalakrishnan, Principal, Dr R Sridhar, Director, and Dr K Kandappan, Dean, Student Support Services and Head of the Departments of Computer Studies.



This centre is also recognised for training and assessment for present and future programs through external research in academic alliance program of Dell EMC. This function that was hosted yesterday, 15 February, was attended by students of Computer Science, Information Technology and Computer Applications.
