'Poor and downtrodden sections will be highly benefited by Union Budget 2023' Minister of State for Skill Development and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar

“India has been at the forefront of the use of technologies internationally. Digitization has taken place in India on a large scale. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister of India, welfare schemes have reached the beneficiaries without any corruption and without delay. This state of affairs will continue’ Union Minister of State Rajeev Chadrasekhar said.



Coimbatore: The Budget for 2023-24, presented in the Parliament has been prepared for the development of the country, and it is futuristic in scope said Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who was on a one-day visit to Coimbatore was addressing reporters at the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Siddhapudur.



The Minister said that "at a time when the world is reeling under various economic crises after Covid-19, India is progressing at a very fast pace. Countries that are particularly powerful internationally, such as China, the US and the UK, have been facing economic down turns not only due to Covid-19, but also because of the Russia-Ukraine war that followed”.

Further adding he said “Corona lockdown continues to be implemented in China. There are problems of inflation and unemployment in the US and the UK. It is noteworthy that India is progressing very fast in this context even during such global recession”.

“The government has announced the largest ever budget presented in independent India at an outlay of Rs 45 lakh crore. The Union Budget for 2023-24 is aimed at the welfare of the public and for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden, be it villages, rural areas, Dalits and economically- weaker sections” the Minister noted.

“Various concessions and measures have been announced in the budget, especially for agriculture, urban infrastructure and digital development. This budget is planned for the future of every Indian and for the development of every Indian. It is a seven-pronged budget that focuses on the environment, green growth and creating employment opportunities for the youth” Rajeev Chandrasekar said.

He further noted “India has been at the forefront of the use of technologies internationally. Digitization has taken place in India on a large scale. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister of India, welfare schemes have reached the beneficiaries without any corruption and without delay. This state of affairs will continue”.

The Minister also added that “Other countries are also learning various things from India. In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been driving India on the path of technological development. It has been announced in the budget that new nursing colleges will be opened. Training and employment opportunities will be created to develop the skills of the youth. In the last nine years, India has witnessed growth that has not been seen in 65 years”.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is providing development for all, no matter how far away from Delhi. In the next 15 years, India will be a major global economic powerhouse” the Minister said.

While parrying questions from reporters, the minister said, "GST is being implemented by the GST Council. Prices of all commodities have gone up internationally due to the Covid pandemic and the war situation. This budget will keep them under control and encourage every Indian's economy to grow," he said.

“He said the budget was not made with any political motives, but bearing in mind the development of the people and for the future of all Indians” the Minister said.
