A two-wheeler collided with a parked container truck carrying milk near Navakkarai in Coimbatore. While one died on the spot, the pillion rider sustained grievous injuries.

According to police, Surya Prakash who was working as CNC operator had gone to Palakkad on a two-wheeler with his friend Nitish, a resident of Annai Indira Nagar in Madukkarai, on the eve of Pongal holidays.
Later, they were returning to Coimbatore on the two-wheeler. Surya Prakash was driving the two-wheeler and lost control of the vehicle due to which it barged into a truck.
While Suryaprakash died on the spot, his friend Nitish, who sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to a private hospital in Sundarapuram area for treatment.
The K.K. Chavadi police have registered a case in connection with the accident and are investigating.
