18 year old killed in car accident near Neelambur in Coimbatore; minor critically injured

Karthi (18), a college student, son of a police Inspector of Tirupur district died on the spot and the other occupant critically injured when the car they were travelling hit a road side boulder at Karaiyampalayam junction area on the wee hours of Sunday.

The deceased Karthi is the son Murugachalam a Police inspector working in Tirupur district. It is said that Karthi's friend was at the wheel, when the accident occurred.

The front side of the car was severely damaged in the impact..The second occupant of the car has been admitted to a hospital with serious injuries.

Sulur police have filed a case and are investigating.
