Fire Dept. conducts mock fire safety drill at Coimbatore International Airport

To create awareness on the precautionary and safety measures to be taken in the event of a fire accident, a mock drill by the Fire Department was held at the Coimbatore airport.



Coimbatore: The Fire Department is conducting mock fire safety drills in Government offices, schools and colleges in Coimbatore. As part of this, a fire safety drill was held at Coimbatore International Airport.



A mock drill was held on the precautionary measures to be taken in the event of a fire in the runway at the airport and inside the buildings at the airport. The drill showed how passengers and flight crew can be evacuated safely and the fire extinguished immediately. The process was explained on various issues such as how to use emergency routes etc.

During the mock safety drill, the fire brigade along with the airport staff were involved.
