To avoid skin diseases and to overcome problems related to the skin, the intake of vitamin-enriched food is a must. Skin, the outer layer of the body is very sensitive. Green Tea:

It's an ideal ingredient to prevent skin diseases. Its antioxidising nature acts as a protective shield for the cell membranes. It reduces inflammation and protects us from the ultraviolet rays of the sun causing sunburns. This, in turn, reduces the risk of skin cancer. It's a good food for the skin which helps to keep skin diseases at bay as it is enriched with vitamins C, K and D. It is high in polyphenol which eliminates cancer radicals.

Salmon:

It is a good food for the skin as it's rich in fatty acids which help in preventing skin diseases. It is rich in omega-3 that keeps cell membranes healthy and allows nutrients to enter cells and flush out waste products. It also helps you to overcome vitamin deficiency and it's also rich in potassium, proteins and selenium.

Blueberries:

Blueberries are good for the skin because of their anti-oxidizing nature. These antioxidants target free radicals that can cause havoc on the skin and cause skin diseases. Blueberries prevent cell damage by neutralising DNA-damaging radicals. Blueberries are best to achieve younger-looking skin.

Carrots:

They come under the highly nutritious food category. They are an excellent source of vitamins and are very useful against skin disorders. Vitamin A is an essential food for healthy skin and deficiency of it can cause skin dryness. Skin problems can be prevented with the high intake of fibre, potassium and thiamine, which carrots are enriched with.

Water:

Water is good for the skin. It helps to rejuvenate you and hydrates your body and helps you to achieve youthful and glowing skin. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day is important.

Pomegranate:

Pomegranates help to strengthen the skin as these help in preventing the harmful UV rays from affecting the skin. Due to this reason, many of the skincare products have pomegranate as one of the ingredients in them. One could have pomegranate in the form of fruit or juice for better skin health.

Dark Green Vegetables:

Dark green vegetables like spinach and broccoli are known for their antioxidant properties and also contain lutein that helps in hydrating the skin and keeping it healthy.

Nuts:

Nuts like almonds, walnuts and pistachios are rich in vitamin A and E and contain good fats like omega-3 fats. Having a handful of these nuts on a regular basis helps in preventing dryness of the skin and several skin-related problems that might arise because of dryness.

Tomatoes:
