Tirupur: Tirupur on Wednesday posted a single-day spike of 197 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall tally of infections to 84,457.


Tirupur: Tirupur on Wednesday posted a single-day spike of 197 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall tally of infections to 84,457.

The district logged no related fatalities today as a result of which the death toll rose to 781.

The number of active cases stood at 1,765.

On the brighter side, the district posted 258 recoveries today, taking the tally of discharges to 81,911.
