145 people in Pollachi and Anaimalai test positive for Covid-19 infection

Coimbatore: In Pollachi and Anaimalai, 145 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection on a single day, on Thursday, according to health officials.


Coimbatore: In Pollachi and Anaimalai, 145 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infection on a single day, on Thursday, according to health officials.

Covid-19 infections are rapidly increasing in Pollachi and its surrounding areas. The Government of Tamil Nadu has been issuing various orders to prevent the spread of the virus. On Thursday, a total of 145 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Pollachi municipality - 18 in the Northern Union, 32 in the Southern Union and 63 in Anaimalai.

The Health Department has been actively spraying disinfectants in infected areas. In addition, flu camps are being conducted in high-risk areas. To prevent further spread of the pandemic, the Health Department has advised public to be vigilant.
