TamilNadu Ministers R Sakkarapani and K Ramachandran inspected the ongoing work of setting up a special Covid-19 treatment center with oxygen facility at the Coimbatore Government Arts College.
Covid-19 infection is increasing day by day in Coimbatore district. As a result of that there is an acute shortage of oxygen beds in government and private hospitals.

In this context, the government is working to set up halls for a temporary Covid-19 treatment center with oxygen beds at the Coimbatore Government Arts College campus as a measure to alleviate the shortage of oxygen beds in the district.
Meanwhile, Food and Civil supplies Minister R Sakkarapani and Forests Minister K Ramachandran who have been appointed by the Government of Tamil Nadu to oversee Covid-19 prevention activities in the Coimbatore district, today inspected the construction work of the halls for the temporary Covid-19 Treatment Center that is to be set up at the Government Arts College premises.

Government Medical College Dean Nirmala, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, District Collector Nagarajan and many other government officials were present during the inspection.

It is also noted that the ministers recently oversaw the setting up of special Covid-19 treatment centers at the Kumaraguru Engineering College in Saravanampatti.
