Valparai police fined those who did not wear face masks

Face masks not worn by a majority of vehicle drivers in Valparai, Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: A large number of vehicles are being used in Valparai, Coimbatore. Most of the people on two-wheelers, cars or vans refuse to use face masks.



As per government restrictions, only 2 are allowed to travel in an autorickshaw and only 3 people in a car.



Hence to monitor the situation police officials are involved in checking the vehicles across Valparai and are issuing fines to the public who violate them.

The officials have also fined the public who are walking on the roads without wearing face masks and have advised them to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines.
