Over 3 lakh vaccinations against COVID-19 administered in Coimbatore district
Coimbatore: The number of people vaccinated across Coimbatore district has crossed over three lakhs. As of Sunday, 3,11,822 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The vaccination was administered to 918 people in just one day, on April 18.
District Collector Nagarajan announced that vaccination is free in Government Hospitals but will cost Rs. 250 in private hospitals. Currently, the Coimbatore Government Hospital can administer 500 doses, the ESI has 500 doses, 2900 doses in Primary Health Centers, 1800 doses in private hospitals and 3850 doses in district warehouses, which totals to 9550 doses being available.
