Mobile unit to go to all streets to vaccinate people: 2,716 people were vaccinated in a single day
Coimbatore: It has been decided to go door-to-door to vaccinate through a mobile unit. Coronavirus vaccine can be administered free of cost not only at Coimbatore Government Hospital, ESI Hospital, but also at 32 maternity hospitals run by the Corporation.
As the second wave spreads fast, precautionary measures are being taken. In the Corporation area, mobile units will be launched tomorrow (11th). It will go down to all streets to vaccinate people. People are volunteering and getting themselves vaccinated at corporation pharmacies.
On the same day yesterday, 2,716 people were vaccinated, with 695 in the north zone, 683 in the west zone, 560 in the central zone, 430 in the south zone and 348 in the east zone. In the containment area of Karuppa Gounder street 248 people were diagnosed with the infection in a single day yesterday. The whereabouts of 16 people have not yet been determined.
Mucus sample was collected again at 3 locations. Mucus samples were collected from residents of 16 homes in the area, following the diagnosis of 5 people from the same family on Karuppa Gounder street. Four buildings in the area were closed following the spread of infection.
