Government staff and teachers deputed for election duty to be administered Covid vaccination - District Collector
Coimbatore: Many, including civil servants, teachers and ex-servicemen, are to be selected and recruited for election work in the 10 assembly constituencies in the Coimbatore district.
Thus, coronavirus vaccination work has begun for the staff involved in the assembly election process. The Coimbatore District Collector asked them to take the coronavirus vaccine immediately. He said that the first phase of the work will begin.
In Coimbatore district, there are 10 assembly constituencies. From the registration to the counting of votes, 28 thousand government officials, teachers, central and state government employees, bank and public sector employees are to be involved. 4,000 policemen are to be deployed for security. They have been ordered to be vaccinated for coronavirus at the government primary health centers in their respective constituencies.
The camp is set up in 25 primary health centers. District Election Officer and District Collector Rajamani has advised the polling staff to show their Aadhar card, office identity card and medical documents, if any, and get vaccinated against coronavirus. He said 100% of the polling staff should be vaccinated.
