Treatment for workers to commence at the ESI hospital as the coronavirus cases have reduced: Dean Dr. Nirmala.


Coimbatore: Treatment of workers and employees availing ESI benefits at the ESI hospital had been suspended for the past one year due to coronavirus. Dean Dr. Nirmala said, treatment for workers to commence at the ESI hospital as the coronavirus cases have reduced.

Dean Dr. Nirmala said the treatment for workers would now commence. ESI beneficiaries will be treated at a hospital in Varadharajapuram soon. Nirmala, the dean of the hospital, said that the hospital was converted to a 665-bed centre for treatment for coronavirus

The workers who registered until March 23last month were not treated. The hospital currently has less than a hundred COVID-19 patients. Workers at the ESI hospital are currently scheduled to be treated again due to declining COVID-19 cases. Dean Dr. Nirmala said, patients who currently have an ESI card are being treated at the hospital Nirmala said that inpatient treatment will be started soon.
