Train services between Coimbatore North and Podanur will be affected on September 25 and 26 due to track maintenance works. The Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU train will be short-terminated at Coimbatore North, while the return service will originate from Coimbatore North instead of Podanur.
Coimbatore: Train services between Coimbatore and Podanur will undergo changes on September 25 and 26 due to track maintenance engineering works being carried out between the two railway stations.
According to an announcement from the Salem Division of Southern Railway, Train No. 66615, the Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU service, scheduled to depart from Mettupalayam at 1.05 pm, will be short-terminated at Coimbatore North Railway Station on both days.
The train will operate only between Mettupalayam and Coimbatore North and will not run on the Coimbatore North–Podanur Junction section.
Similarly, Train No. 66616, the Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU service, scheduled to depart from Podanur Junction at 3.30 pm, will instead originate from Coimbatore North Railway Station at 3.52 pm on September 25 and 26.
The service will not operate between Podanur Junction and Coimbatore North and will run from Coimbatore North to Mettupalayam.
Passengers travelling on these routes have been advised to take note of the changes.
