The participants from the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education have bagged gold, silver, and bronze medals in the 18th state-level Silambam contest held on behalf of the Amateur Silambam Association.
Coimbatore:The students from Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore bag medals in the state-level Silambam contest.
A state-level Silambam competition was held from 26 to 28 January 2022, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Amateur Silambam Association.

In the 18th State Level Silambam Competition, the participants from the Karpagam University bagged 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals and were declared overall championship in the senior category.
Tarun Kumar won gold in 65-kg category, Sasikumar bagged a bronze medal in 70-kg category, Vikram struck gold in 75-kg category, Thigambaram got the gold medal in 85-kg category, Dasadharan and Kaushik bagged the silver medal in arms pair, Kirtana Zenith won a gold medal in group arms, Gautham Krishnan bagged gold in group arms category. Muruganantham won gold in long pole and gold in doubles, Gurucharan bagged a bronze medal in the junior category. The winners have been selected for the national-level competition to be held in March.
The University CEO Murugayya Dr. Sudhakar, Registrar, Dr. Palaniswami and Director of Physical Education congratulated the winners.
