Coimbatore: As part of the monthly rural sports tournament held by Isha Outreach here, zealous youths from 10 villages including Alandurai, Mathvarayapuram, Thevarayapuram, Zakirnaickenpalayam, Saadivayal and Perur participated in the volleyball tournament held at Vadivelampalayam village on Sunday.

In a bid to improve the physical and mental health of the villagers, Isha Outreach organises monthly rural sports tournament for the villagers living around Thondamuthur area. The event gives an opportunity for the villagers to revel in the joy of the game and in the spirit of competition and collaboration, irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
Teams from Mathvarayapuram and Devarayapuram clashed in the finals. In which, the team from Mathvarayapuram won the trophy 25-21, 25-23. The top 4 ranked teams were honored with prizes.
