A total of 40 teams have been formed and they are raiding in the Shree Anandhaas Group regarding tax evasion and the Revenue Department officials are conducting the first investigation from yesterday morning.
Branches of Shree Anandhaas hotels in Coimbatore District are operating at various locations including Vadavalli, Lakshmi Mills, Sundarapuram, Ramnagar, RS Puram, Gandhipuram, Brookfield.
Income tax officials, who arrived in groups of 40 from 6 am yesterday, are conducting intensive raids in Nellai and Coimbatore, following a complaint that the company had evaded income tax.
Also, the raid was being conducted at the house of Anandas owner Manikandan yesterday.
Earlier, when Income Tax officials raided the Shree Anandhaas hotels in Vadavalli, it is learned that the administration there asked for identity cards and stood outside and informed the local police.
Following this, it has been reported that the income tax audit is being carried out only after the arrival of the police.
In most places yesterday, the Income Tax authorities have been conducting inspections from 7 am for the second day in five locations, including branches of Anandas Restaurant, Vadavalli and Lakshmi Mills.
It is noteworthy that today the second day of the income tax authorities are actively conducting the inspection, while it has been said that the income tax audit may continue for three days in some branches including Vadavalli.
