AIADMK MLA Pollachi Jayaraman mocked TN Chief Minister M K Stalin's statement that Kachchativu will be reclaimed by the DMK-led Government.
Coimbatore: Pollachi Sub-Collector, Thakare Shubham Dnyandeorao received petitions from the public in the northern inner circle during a Jamabandi held at the Pollachi taluk office on Friday.

AIADMK MLA Pollachi Jayaraman also attended the Jamabandi and received petitions along with the Pollachi Collector. Later, talking to reporters, Pollachi Jayaraman said in jest that the present DMK Government would restore Kachchativu.
"Everyone knew that the previous DMK and Congress government had jointly gifted Kachchativu to Sri Lanka and now the people of Tamil Nadu know that it is a political drama for the present DMK Government led by M K Stalin to talk about reclaiming Kachchativu," added Pollachi Jayaraman.
He further said that the project to divert water from the Aliyar Dam, which is the main source of water for Coimbatore and Tirupur districts, to the Ottanchathram area of Dindigul district, and the implementation of the new drinking water project will severely affect the farmers in the Parambikulam Aliyar Irrigation Project, as well as the people of Coimbatore and Tirupur districts who depend on it.
"Therefore, the people of this area will never be allowed to implement this project," reiterated Pollachi Jayaraman.
