Coimbatore: Coimbatore lawyers demand removal of 'Vaaitha' movie footage defaming judiciary, alleging that the film had various scenes in the film that were insulting to lawyers and the Court.
The recently-released film 'Vaaitha' has been filmed all over Tamil Nadu, with a focus on court scenes. The Coimbatore District Attorneys have demanded the immediate removal of the defamatory comments and footage filmed against the judiciary.
"Normally, movies feature judicial critiques and scenes that are normal. But 'Vaaitha' has badly portrayed scenes that are degrading to the Court. Such a misrepresentation of the judiciary which is the ultimate hope of the common man calls into question the confidence of the people in the judiciary. The film crew should remove the specific footage immediately from the movie, and if not, the next step will be to lodge a complaint with the police," warned the lawyers.
